I am pleased to let you know that expressions of Interest are sought for the role of Clinical Lead for Cardiovascular Prevention for NHS South Yorkshire (SY) Integrated Care Board (ICS). NHS South Yorkshire Integrated Care Board (ICB) oversees health and social care for a population of 1.4m people. Working through our four places, Barnsley, Doncaster, Rotherham, and Sheffield, we are building on the strengths, capacity and knowledge of all those directly involved with our local communities to deliver our four key aims of Improving outcomes in population health and healthcare; Tackling inequalities in outcomes, experience and access; Enhancing productivity and value for money; and helping the NHS support broader social and economic development. This one and a half day a week part-time post will provide strategic clinical leadership and expert advice, to influence the delivery of cardiovascular disease (CVD) prevention across NHS South Yorkshire Integrated Care System (ICS). The Clinical Lead will work with clinical, public health and managerial colleagues across the ICS to develop and lead a programme of work to improve CVD outcomes for the population of SY. The initial focus for this work will be supporting primary care to further improve the management and detection of clinical risk factors for CVD. This role is open to senior clinicians with experience of working within primary care who are currently working within South Yorkshire. This is a part-time role for 12 months in the first instance, and the successful post-holder will be funded for a day and a half per week. Candidates will need to factor in this time within the normal working week.
